Finds the entry you'd miss
Theo watches the stocks you're eyeing and tells you the moment one reaches a good entry zone — the setup a busy investor always seems to miss.
Protects what you own
Own a stock and Theo sets a protection level beneath it. As the stock climbs, the level climbs with it. You get the new number the moment it changes, so you never have to check.
Shows its reasoning, never gives a call
Theo reads the market in plain English and shows the why behind every idea — the bull case, the bear case, and the risk. It interprets and educates; it never tells you to buy or sell.
From market noise to clear decisions.
Theo analyzes the market, explains every signal, and helps you test strategies before you trust them.
Theo, your AI analyst
Ask about any US-listed stock, sector, or market event. Theo answers in plain English and shows its sources, with the raw numbers one tap away.
Smart watchlist
A watchlist that knows the difference. Stocks you own: Theo watches your downside. Stocks you're considering: Theo watches for the entry, then protects it once you're in.
Ideas you'd have missed
Theo watches for the rule-based conditions and tells you the moment one arrives. Every idea comes with the bull case, the bear case, and the risk — never a buy call.
Create your baskets
Group stocks into a basket — the Dow 30, a sector, or a list of your own using predefined filters — and Theo watches all of them at once. Describe what you want in a sentence, and Theo builds it.
Build and backtest your strategies
Select indicators, set the rules, pick your basket, and run it against years of history first. You're judging a method, not taking a faith claim.
Alerts, keeping you on track
Stay ahead with real-time alerts on price movements, market events, and AI-driven ideas tailored to your interests.
What early users are saying
On baskets & strategies
I grouped about a dozen industrials into a basket and ran a moving-average strategy across it. What sold me was seeing exactly which names met the rule and which didn't — no more guessing, and I set it up in a few minutes without a spreadsheet.

On backtesting
Before I trust a setup, I want to know how it behaved before. Testing a strategy against the Nasdaq 100 right in the app, laid out in plain terms, changed how I decide what's even worth watching.

small-business owner
On Theo's research
I asked Theo to walk me through a company's last two earnings, and it pulled the numbers, the guidance, and the news around them — with sources — in one place. It's the half-hour of digging I used to do myself, done in a minute.

Frequently asked questions
What is HeyTheo?
HeyTheo is an AI-powered stock research and signals platform for self-directed investors and swing traders in US markets. It surfaces rule-based signals where the trigger is always visible, lets you backtest any strategy against historical data before you act, and answers questions about any US-listed stock through an AI chat called Theo. HeyTheo is a research and education tool — not a broker and not a financial adviser. It helps you decide; you trade in your own account.
Does HeyTheo tell me what to buy or sell?
No. HeyTheo is a research and signals tool, not a financial adviser or a stock broker, and it never issues a buy, sell, or hold call. It shows you the rule behind each signal, the data, and the reasoning — the bull case, the bear case, and the risk — so you can reach your own view. Every decision and every trade is yours, made through your own broker. For guidance specific to your situation, consider consulting a licensed financial professional.
How is HeyTheo different from a black-box AI stock picker?
Every HeyTheo signal shows the exact rule that triggered it, and you can backtest that rule against years of history before you rely on it. A black-box picker hands you a score and asks you to trust it; HeyTheo shows the mechanism and lets you test it first. Nothing is hidden, and nothing is presented as a guaranteed outcome. Backtested results are hypothetical and have inherent limitations, but you can see exactly how a rule behaved in the past before deciding whether it's worth watching.
What is a basket in HeyTheo?
A basket is a group of stocks you want Theo to watch together. You can build one from filters — sector, market cap, valuation, technicals — or start from a preset like the Dow 30, SPY, or QQQ. You can also describe what you want in a sentence and let Theo assemble it. Once a basket exists, you can run strategies and signals across all of its stocks at once and backtest them as a group, instead of checking names one at a time.
What strategies can I use?
HeyTheo includes rule-based strategies such as Golden Cross, RSI Oversold Bounce, Pullback, Mean Reversion, and 52-week Breakout, and it draws on common technical indicators like MACD and Bollinger Bands. You can also define custom rules of your own. Every strategy shows its exact trigger conditions up front — there is no hidden logic — and each one can be backtested against a benchmark before you use it. A strategy describes how a rule behaves; it is not advice to buy or sell.
What is backtesting, and can I trust the results?
Backtesting runs a strategy against historical data and a benchmark so you can see how its rules would have behaved in the past before you act on them. It is how you judge a method instead of taking it on faith. The results are hypothetical: they reflect a rule applied to past data, do not account for all real-world costs, and cannot guarantee future performance. Treat a backtest as a way to understand a strategy's behavior and limitations — not as a promise of what will happen next.
What can Theo do?
Theo is an AI research chat. Ask it about any US-listed stock, sector, or market event, and it reads filings, news, and the technicals, then answers in plain English with sources attached — the raw numbers are one tap away. It can explain why a stock moved, walk you through a company's recent earnings, or summarize what a signal means. Theo interprets and educates; it attributes third-party views such as Wall Street ratings as those third parties' opinions, and never gives a buy or sell call of its own.
How do alerts work?
HeyTheo watches the market for you and notifies you when something needs your attention. For a stock you are considering, Theo alerts you when it reaches a rule-based entry zone. For a stock you own, it tracks a protection level beneath the position that rises as the stock climbs, and tells you the moment that number changes — so you never have to keep checking. Alerts report what happened; acting on them is always your call.
How is HeyTheo different from using ChatGPT for stocks?
HeyTheo answers stock questions in a chat like ChatGPT, but with three differences that matter for money decisions: every signal is rule-based and shows its trigger, every strategy is backtestable against history, and every claim is tied to a source you can check. A general chatbot can produce a fluent summary you have to trust; HeyTheo is built so you can verify it — see the rule, test it, and trace the data — instead of taking a generated answer on faith.
