Getting started
What your AI can do
A connected app reaches the same five areas you do in HeyTheo. It can read all of them and change all of them — it does what you can do, through your own account.
Alerts
- Reads
- Everything you are watching, everything that has fired, and your Inbox.
- Changes
- Create an alert, edit one, pause or resume it, delete it.
Try asking
- “Which of my alerts fired this week?”
- “Set me an alert for when AAPL drops below 180.”
- “Pause everything I have on TSLA.”
Baskets
- Reads
- What is in each basket, and which strategies are attached to it.
- Changes
- Create a basket, rename it, add or remove symbols, change what defines it, attach or detach a strategy, turn idea generation on or off, delete it.
Try asking
- “What is in my Movers basket?”
- “Make me a basket of my five largest holdings.”
- “Attach Trend & Momentum to my tech basket.”
Watchlist
- Reads
- What you own and what you are only watching, with your protection settings.
- Changes
- Add a symbol, change whether you own it, remove it.
Try asking
- “What am I watching that I do not own?”
- “Mark MSFT as owned.”
- “Clear the symbols I have not looked at.”
Ideas
- Reads
- Your open positions and your closed history, with entry, exit and why it closed.
- Changes
- Favourite an idea or unfavourite it, archive one or bring it back.
Try asking
- “How are my open ideas doing?”
- “What happened to my NVDA idea?”
- “Show me my last ten closed trades and which were winners.”
Strategies
- Reads
- Your playbooks, their rules and their trade setups.
- Changes
- Create a strategy, edit its rules, rename it, delete it.
Try asking
- “What rules does my RSI playbook use?”
- “Which of my strategies has the best record?”
- “Copy my pullback strategy and make the stop tighter.”
What it does not reach
Market data. A connected app works with your rows — your alerts, your baskets, your ideas. It does not get HeyTheo's price history, fundamentals, screener or analyst data as a feed. Those stay inside the product, where Theo uses them to answer you.
Deleting a basket or a strategy cannot be undone, and an AI can misread an instruction. Be deliberate when you ask one to remove something. See Access and privacy.
